Hello, dahlia fanciers! We are busy getting ready for our annual judged show and exhibit, to be held on September 18-19, starting at 10:00 am each day. Once again, we will be at the Wenatchee Valley Mall, Center Court, and hope to have more blooms than ever in the show. We have a great crew of judges coming over from Western Washington, and a check of the NCW Demonstration Garden looks promising for show quality flowers in abundance, just in time!
It was a little windy in the past few days, so local growers have been busy making sure that everything is tied up and secure. You are invited to post to this blog, sharing what's up with you and your gardens. We had a great opportunity to tour 3 great gardens at our meeting last Thursday, and all of us walked away, inspired by the blooms and well-fed by appetizers, pizza, salad, and yummy peach and berry desserts (cheesecake and cobbler)! This will definitely become an annual event!
